Job Purpose:

To support, advise and agree on the best solution for no direct procurement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Comply with Health and Safety responsibilities as defined in the company health and safety policy and ensure these are adequately delegated in the absence of the job holder.
• Support an Indirect purchase budget of circa £13 million p.a.
• Overall responsibility for supplier selection and contract negotiations.
• Support selection and business case approval for CAPEX / OPEX supply
• Provide full real-time saving,  opportunities and risks for the indirect spending areas
• Read and advise on contracts to suggest the best fit and improvements
• Responsibility to deliver Purchase Price Variance to budget.
• Control and support other departments in the procurement of strategic spend
• Support the development Indirect supply chain strategy with Purchasing Director
• Deliver synergy savings and work closely with Excel and Vitry team for road and sea transport.
• Responsibility for contract negotiations for All major Capital purchases.
• Supplier development
• Support all energy costs and compliance with CRC legislation.
• Provide All departments with Purchasing support and input as required.
• Contribution to our Business Continuity strategy and implementation for Capex spend
• Suggest and support cross division / county supply opportunities.

Education and/or Experience

• Experience in an indirect procurement role
• Knowledge of the transport market
• Understanding of the energy market.
• Exposure to capital projects in a manufacturing business
